I don't know Gear end clearance should be two thousandths. I don't think that lash is critical because of the way the pump operates. The gears (impellers, really)are always in contact with each other forming the cavity to push the oil through the pump. The "lash" does not create a flow path for the oil so I question whether it matters.
oil pump I have 3 sets of OEM gears and they all measure differently on the gear lash. So I was just wondering. Thanks :grin:
