The oil pressure gauges on my 98 LS1 Vette have gone wacco. The analog gauge is pegged@ 80 psi and the digital gauge is reading 128 psi both when the engine is running. When the engine is off the analog gauge reads about 50 and the digital reads 116. I called the local Chevy garage and I got the "You are the first one I have ever seen with that problem" treatment. Of course they said "bring it in". My question is where is the oil pressure sending unit on these engines and can I get to it to change it?? The oil is ok, the filter is ok-(I changed it), there does not seem to be anything else wrong with the engine and it sounds fine. There are no "check engine lights" on anywhere. Can anyone help out?
