A friend asked me to check if I have an oil pan gasket for his 67 with a 340. Buick parts books show #1358238 was used on 300/340/350 from 64-73, and #1242781 for 350's 74 and later. I have the later ones in my stash. I'm thinking the later one would be compatible for the earlier 350's and the 300/340's, since the oil pan didn't change in 74. If so, why wouldn't Buick specify it to be used on them? Can use RTV and eliminate the gasket so this is more a point of curiosity than a roadblock. John
