I have a TA adjustable oil pressure cap threaded into my oil pump on my 455. I can't stop that thing from leaking. It has been leaking since it was new. I even tried teflon tape. Can anyone give me a suggestion? Thanks, mark
Call TA im sure they can send you a replacement. Other than that I would say that maybe an O-ring in between the washer might help it hold oil back. I'll look at mine to see if there are any hacks available...
I have a pescky leak around that area. My regulator doesn't leak, but the oil seems to be coming out from under one of the bolt heads that holds the bottom part of the oil pump assembly on. This means I have to spend time under my car with the simple green and high pressure water. What a pain in the a - -. ou: One drop of oil at 65 mph seems to get everything covered. John
Check out one of my old posts from wrenchin' secrects: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4960 Hope this helps.
Thanks for the tips. I think I will try the washer idea before I call TA. I will let all of you know. Thanks again, Mark
