Here in San Diego Calif. and several surrounding suburbs where just watching street racing as a bystander is now punishable by jail time, they are at least providing some alternatives. If you're interested in seeing what San Diego is doing for it's racing population go to http://racelegal.com/ Lee
Lee - Thanks for the tip! I'll be moving down to Del Mar on the 21st, down from Hollywood. Wish I could get there a day earlier!ou: I should be able to catch a few of them, though.
They are now also talking about extending the track closing time from 11pm to 1am. Allows for a couple of extra hours of racing. Lee
Here in Tulsa, even though random kids street racing on drags is a problem...There really isnt big groups that do it on the street, the local track has a Midnight drag thing, At 9 every satuday, they turn off the clock so its not official or wahtever...Basically for $10 you bring any car and race it all night. Still have to do tech, but its not as strict as it normally would be. They usually dont close the track till 3-4am. USually alot of fun.
That's a really cool idea. Only problem is with the name though. It should be "rice-legal".com  Actually, there were some musclecars there as well. That blue 69 Z-28 was sweet. So was this Olds :eek2: Cop Car:
