Hey Rick Hi Rick, Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I just now checked that thread for the first time in weeks. There were some minor set backs, I just now got the Riv into running condition. I'm looking forward to hitting the strip soon:grin: How was the weather? How did you do? Did Steve go? BTW, drove my Buick to work for the first time yesterday, someone tried to car-jack me. Lucky for me, I was too quick getting back into my beloved car before that bastard, apologize for language use. That is my baby, I'll guard that car with my life. I'll never let anything happen to it, never I say! :Smarty: Aaron
AAron, Weather was great. I did my best of 12.08 @110mph. Steve Everest, and John Biggs were there. Getting ready for the first points race of the season this Sunday. Sorry to hear about the almost car jacking. That would really suck after you put all kinds of work into it. Did you see that post of the board of the security system the other day. The one that takes care of the problem before the police get there.:blast: Hope to see you at the track soon. Even if you don't run, you can come down and watch. If the weather cooperates this weekend, we will be having some fast cars turn out. Saturday will be test and tune, and Sunday is points. Last Sunday there was this fast white Turbo T, and he was leaving the line very cleanly and would put 11's on the board every pass. You couldn't even tell that he had roll bars in it. This car did not come in on a trailer either. It was a full weight car, and had power everything, and A/C to boot.
Personal Security Systems Hey Rick, I think you're on to something with your security system. I think it definitely would have given me the upper hand. I'll also definitely be at the track soon. Fine tuning the Riv, you know how it goes. Are there any other Riviera drivers who go to the track? Aaron
Aaron, Didn't see any yet, but its early in the season. Bring yours down, and you may start something. John and I saw this 70 Skylark race car with fiberglass bumpers, battery in the trunk, completely stripped, and he had a cheby motor in it. What a shame. The guy said that he couldn't afford to put in a Buick motor. He said the parts were too expensive. The tech guy came up, took a look at the car and found something wrong, and he sent him home. The guy put the car on the trailer, and left.
The tech guy did find something wrong. THE WRONG ENGINE!!!   He must of liked Buick powered Buicks. Hey Rick, don't forget to post those two pics we talked about.   John B.

John, I remember that clown. He's been beating that poor Bow Tie Buick for years. When he told me it Chevy powered I walked away.:gt: Jerry
Re: white olds I thought I had a picture in my computer, but I don't I'll have to scan one in. Steve might have some in the mean time. It only cost him 50K in the motor to go 10.30's...

Re: sept? :moonu::moonu: :moonu::moonu: Maybe you can use some of that hot air for your FLAT tires, or are you hoping for more traction up front??? You know that the racetracks here are a real 1/4 mile, not a 1/4 millimeter!?! :gt: p p p p p
