Anyway, the car is a pleasant surprise if any of y'all have been considering one. I wanted a 99 Riv initially, but saw this one and couldn't pass it up. The tourque is pretty impressive for a late 90's car of this weight, but the front wheel spinnin' takes some getting used to.

Looks like, and apparently IS, a grandpa highway cruiser all around. I called the original owner tonight since his name and address was in the glovebox, to see if he could provide any maintenance history to satisfy my curiosity. Sadly, he was recently deceased and his widow did not seem to be in the mood to talk. I apologized profusely, but I hope she detected the happiness in my voice for having found this car. Sorry for the crappy pics . Maybe she will feel differently tomorrow. Also sorry for the ramble guys,
long story short is that these Supercharged II Regals are OK with me and deserve your consideration if you are getting up in age and still want power on demand and Buick luxury while maintaining a super stealthy profile and respectable mileage, and handling.

Things to check before buying one, see gsregal.org

They are fun cars. My old boss from Dynotech has an '01, SC was removed in favor of a turbo and has run a best of 10.85@127. Pretty good for a 3700 lb daily driver. Several customers' GPs and Regals were in the low-mid 12s with a little work.
