Monday, I'm in the new company car, a Cadillac SRX, the overkill of sportwagons, I think it has the 3.6 Variable Valve Time engine, has the "hurst shifter" can switch over to manual shifting. but back to the kill, I'm in the far right lane at a 4 lane light, far left gets to turn left, and the other 3 go straight, there's a red mustang in the 3rd lane, a Honda CT V6, looks like a Mudstang, in the middle lane, I see him and the Mustang nod off, we're going to run 'em and the light turns green, and the Cadillac SRX with a screaming power, and a bunch of guys in it, blasts past the Honda, as he blasts past the Mudstang! And the crowd cheers in the SRX! They can't believe I blew off 2-seaters with 4 folks in the Cadillac! And I just left late off the light in D for drag! Had I put the shifter in 1 and done the shifting manually, still would have whiffed that Honda, wish we had pictures!

I rented one of those Caddys when I was over yourside of the Atlantic, it had the V6. I was impressed, seemed like a very capable vehicle, and its RWD. I did "give it a little" from the lights when my wife wasn't paying attention! Had a couple of F150s and the like, dunno if thats good or not? One was a V8 for sure, I could hear it loud & clear. Had big Flowmaster decals, not sure if anythign else. That Caddy was so smooth you could rag it and the wife doesn't even notice...

NIce, love beating up on Jap cars, lol

I have a similar story. I have a 67 Buick GS, with a L-88 chev in it, long story how it got in there, anyway, me and my 2 sons, when they were 15 an 12, pulled up to a cpl kids in a new Camaro ss. They looked over and started laughing, don't know why, must have been the old man in his Father's Buick, lol When the light changed, I was 3 car lengths ahead before I hit 2nd gear amd you should have heard them banging gears trying to catch up. Guess they werem't laughing too hard then.
