Shipping is a tad high but you can you "make an offer". Get 'em while they're available. The listing says seller has 16 of them. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2258229552...udynpnpQQm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
AND they want an extra $18 for each additional cap. So buy 2 caps and the shipping is $43 + tax. So for me to buy 2 caps would be $123.45 total. Ouch. I hate inflated shipping. Why not just make the caps $65/each and free shipping instead of trying to trick buyers?
My theory, those inflated shipping fees don't get eBay fees applied? If the price was 65, all of that would be fee'd. $18 for each extra cap is INSANE though! But, no fees from eBay for the seller. Troy
Feebay charges fees on shipping and sales tax. If seller charges inflated shipping, then ships item for $10, they recoup the shipping charge leftover.
Mart is correct. eBay charges the seller a fee on the combined total of the item and shipping. So this inflated shipping price doesn't save the seller anything on the eBay fees. When I first started using eBay that wasn't the case so sellers would often list an item for $1 but with a high shipping charge and only pay a selling fee on the $1 and avoid the fee on the shipping. eBay obviously realized this and added the selling fee to the total.
Even at $65, that's not terrible for an NOS unit that hardly ever pops up for sale. The shipping is ridiculous, though.
Wow, he sold those 16 quickly. I need to eat my previous statement about the extra $18 for each additional cap purchased as shown in the eBay ad because I bought more than 1 cap and the seller refunded the extra shipping cost.
