Driving in my 06 Grand Marquis under a small over underpass that I frequent.
In a few cars also that iv'e driven under that over pass the radio will sometimes get static for a few seconds.

A few days ago i'm driving under it and then I hear some different weird static noises and the radio just plain shuts off and goes in blank mode.
I turned it back on and the station settings deleted and the clock went to a flashing 12:00 and went to AM.

This is the factory digital radio. It works fine now and I did get a bit nervous about wiring may have some shorts. Maby still does??
This over pass has alot of big truck traffic but is very short with maby 4 lanes worth of length.
Could a CB radio or whatever high tech they use cause enough static to make the radio go nuts?

    Thanks..
It has come to be a tiny tiny Bermuda Triangle every time I approach and pass under it:eek:

I also don't think in all these years that I drove on the over pass??
I'm thinking of trying it and see what happens..

Wow a Crown Vic and Gran Marquis Forum..
I get the Crown Vic as alot were police issue..
So the radio going into shut down mode is somewhat common. Some say Ford used bad brittle solder that didn't help when there were strong CB signals...
