No wonder I was having valve float at 6500! There was only 90 lbs at the seat and 280 open. Down from 115 and 310.
My new springs are 135 and 330. That should be enough, right? Or do I need more? (608B cam)

    Bruce,

It will probably be fine but if I were setting up a new set of springs on my cylinder heads with that cam I would have the seat pressure around 150. Now.. thats just my opinion and I dont claim to be an expert. What does the cam card suggest?

Bruce - TA's website says that cam would use the TA 1125 springs (125# closed - 320#open). Looks like your springs should be fine.

What is the spring rate with those springs?

On a side note....any of you guys convert to SB Chevy dual springs/retainers?? Just curious - I was always impressed with the Isky 1.44" dual springs/titanium retainers (part # 6105 if I remember correctly). Isky springs always seemed to hold their spring rate very good!!
