how do you tell a legit ramrod from a clone .

this car is about 30 miles from me and i'm thinking of adding a brand X to my stable , if the owner didn't have his head affected by to many $$$$ i'd be going to check it out ???

    It's legit and good seller

I know this car and the seller. I sold 2 1968 Cutlass bodies to him and the backup Ramrod motor that I ran in Pure Stock while mine was ailing with cam problems. Also sold lots of other rare W car stuff and wheels, etc.

The car is legit, came from California as he says and was more original than mine. About all it needed was paint and tires.

Seller is a big time Olds collector with many very rare and expensive W cars, Indy Pace cars, and Hursts. I counted 4 68 Ramrods and 3 68 Hursts. That building behind it is jammed full of cars that range from $75k low mileage originals to projects, but all have something really rare and unique about them.

Very hard to tell real ones from clones, only way is know the history of the car including (but not limited to), paperwork and documentation. There are more out there now than ever built originally.

Someone should snap up that 79 Hurst and check out the 454 Monte Carlo he's also selling:
