  1. whats up everybody new to buick world I've had my buick since sept. and know pretty much nothing about it i've searched for anything on it and this is the first site i've really found that has been helpful! Again as the name implies my buick of choice is a 72 skylark with 90000 original miles very good interior and only small rust. can any one tell me anything or tell me where to find some specs on this car? thanks guys hope to see you all at the GS nationals!

Welcome to the board. What kind of specs are you looking for? There is a wealth of knowledge on the board, if you post a more specific request we can probably help you out pretty quickly. Tell us more about your car, color, options, etc. Welcome!:beer

  3. Thanks for the reply!
My car is a Brown/two tone original low mileage survivor It's in pretty good shape and after I pull my Firebird into the 12's. the buick begins a massive rebuild.
Specs I am looking for are like what gears did this car some with what kind of horsepower/tq. what kind of numbers are capable with a decent rebuild and good port polish/cam where is the best place to pick up some parts used or not?

You'd probably be more successful having these questions answered in the specific forums on this site. The questions tend to get better exposure to the right people when they're in the correct forum, as those most interested and knowledgeable will frequent the forum.

Have you located a build sheet for the car yet? What is the cowl tag code and VIN?

  5. where would i find the build sheet at? I am just about a complete newbie to restoring old cars. I'll have to look and find the vin and cowl tag.

The build sheet can be any number of places; under one of the seats (most likely the back seat), on top of the gas tank and on top of the glove box to name a few. Your cowl tag will let you know what color exterior, vinyl top (if it had one) and color interior the car had originally. Post a few pictures too!:bglasses:

  7. thanks for your kindness I'm gonna begin small work on my car this weekend man it would be so much easier if I had a garage on my own! anyways here's a pic of my cars the buick has done well for itself over the years.
