    Greetings from Baton Rouge, LA!

My name is EJ Young and I have a '69 Sport Wagon 400 I've been using as a daily driver ever since purchasing it in TX back in 2000.

The 400 is now a 430 lower with my 400 heads, the exhaust is now full duals with "H"-pipe and it sits on Monte Carlo SS wheels and sport tires.

I've sunk a ton of money into rebuilding things as they've cropped up and still have yet to do anything for looks.... Luckily, it's very straight to begin with.

Normally, Harley and VW (air cooled) take up all my time, but this was supposed to be my wife's hot rod anti-SUV. Of course after the hard work was done, she changed her mind. I inherited a daily-driver...I've tried several times to sell the car (wife's car, actually) over the internet and have had people back out of the deal each time.

It looks like I'll be buried in this car, so I thought I'd check in and learn something and hopefuly hook up with some parts along the way.

Heck, it's paid for and can pass anything but a gas station! :Brow:

Anyhow, "Howdy" and I look forward to blabbin' with you guys/gals!

We look forward to hearing about your sportwagon and the transformations it has/will undergo! Feel free to post pictures of your progress:cool:

Cool Sporty EJ! One of my Vee-Dub friends here in Austin told me about your car probably a year ago, I remember seeing it for sale on the web somewhere (was it a VW website?). If it had been a '70-72 I would have been all over it, but my driveway is getting pretty full so I need to start being more picky about what I fill it up with:TU: . Anyway, awesome car and I hope you find the board helpful and fun. Feel free to shoot us any questions etc you may have.
