Hi I'm Amy, really new to forums not new to classics. I found a really cool time capsule! I bought this beautiful all original high performance V8 1962 camelot rose 2 door hardtop skylark last Sept. Her name is Phoebe. At the time I bought her I had 62 chevy corvair. I have since sold that, I have loved classic cars since I was a young child, but never owned one until bought the corvair in 2017. id appreciate any information you might have on my car. im trying to find out how maybe v8 camelot rose 2 door hardtops were made. im told not very many.

Beautiful car! Did you buy it locally? Hopefully they'll have the Syracuse Nationals this summer and I can see it in person.

nationals are definitely on. buildings will remain closed including bathrooms.. but they will have porta potties... umm how is that safer than a huge bathroom... ill pass this yr even though I already paid the registration..

I'm going to aaca show in saratoga springs next mo..

I bought my car in warwick ny.. she was bought in mount Vernon NY at stevens buick on Aug 4 1962, I have the diary of Craig woods who bought it in 1989 drove her then parked her in 1998 for some reason.. then in 2014 sold her, again never drove, then sold in 2017, again never drove sold to me sept 2020 drove her 3,000 miles from sept to Nov when stored for winter.. bought her with 35,978 miles as of today 39,600 miles.. I drive my cars because thats what they were made to do.. do you go to the cruises at daves diner near utica? im hoping to go again this yr

Welcome from Baldwinsville. Nice looking Buick for sure. And rumor has it on the Syracuse Nationals is that you may want to register early as there may be a car count limit. I’d be surprised if the buildings are closed. Where are the people suppose to go when it rains? Utica Geoff, are you coming? Keith is stuck in Canada so you can take his spot.

Welcome from Waterloo NY. I like the 61-62 skylark, there was one in the same color at a car show this way it was a wagon with a Chevy engine in it. I seen another that was a 2 door I thought it was on craigslist Rochester last year.

  14. Welcome Amy! Very Nice Cars! I had a "1962 Buick Special Deluxe" in the past, now I have a "1963 Oldsmobile F-85 Deluxe".

thank you! I've registered over a month ago when I heard they would be limiting the amount of cars... since the Canadians can't come over that will cut out about 75 percent of the cars.. I was amazed to hear they represented that high amount of attendance.. im not sure ill even go. 2019 was so hot I nearly passed out twice... add a mask to the heat and humidity not a good mix

thank you. I believe the one in Rochester was a parts car, that turned out to have nothing salvageable. the guy used it all for his F85

I’ve been to 18 of the 20 or so (all but 2) Syr Nats. There are some Canadian cars for sure, but no where near 75%. I’d venture a guess of around 5%-10%. Yes 2019 was a hot one. But in 2018 we were freezing!

Welcome from Eastern Washington State! I lived in Syracuse from 1974-76 when I was in the Air Force... Hancock Field. Upstate NY is nice. This is a fantastic site with a lot of knowledge... :)
