I just bought a 69 Skywagon and it has a 10 bolt rear, I am assuming the original 8.2. The car originally came with a 400 but now has a 455. It doesn't have posi-trac and I have heard that 69 rearends are hard to find a posi-trac carrier for for some reason....is this true? If so can someone explain the differences and if any other carriers will interchange? Thanks...... john6769@yahoo.com
The 68-70 Buick 8.2 10 bolt rears were unique to Buick, and parts availability is not the best. Contact Monzaz on this site. A few years back, there were gear sets made, and he may be able to help you with a Posi. http://www.v8buick.com/member.php?3880-monzaz
iF YOU WAGON has 2.73 2.93 3.23 or 3.42 we have a posi that will bolt right into the 10 bolt 8.2 68 69 70 rear PM I will help you understand. jIM J D
