Im trying to take the front clip off my 65 special. So far I have both fenders and wheel wells off. The only thing holding the bumper, rad, ect is four massive bolts to the frame. My question is how do I unhook the 2 big hoses and 2 lines going to the radiator. Do I just unhook them and let them drain or what. Should I cap them off with a rag or something.

The two lines you just take off, they might drip a little but it shouldn't be much. To drain the radiator there is a drain on the rad that looks like it's got a sort of wingnut on it. Loosen the rad cap and loosen this plug and the water/antifreeze mix will run out, then you take the hoses off. If you have a nice big drain pan you can put it under the car and loosen the lower rad hose at the radiator and twist and carefully loosen it till the mix runs out. This is a lot faster than the first method but can be a lot messier if it gets away from you. Good luck!

I saw that wingnut thing but only after I pulled the bottom hose off and drained it in a bucket. It worked pretty good. Just a few wipeable drips of green stuff.
