    15x 12" rim and 29 x 10.5W hoosier 46lbs no tube

    15 x 10" Weld drag lite 29x10 hoosier /w tube 42 lbs

so there a little heavier but i'm taking out 5" of axle on both sides so i'm sure that is more than 4lbs

Looks great! I am just curious why you went with a 1.5" wide tire with a 12" wide wheel?

Most of the time, the 68-69 cars don't do it for me,but that is just wayyy too darn nice with those wide wheels on it. The fenderwells make it look lowered. And,the color of that girl is really nice!!! I like those rims too...

So does that mean I can put a Mickey T 29.5x10.5x15 slick on my 72 Skylark with a 12" rim with outer fender lip cut and rolled without moving the frame? If so what back spacing should I use? They fit with a 10" rim but close. I want to spread that tire out some more to get more rubber on the track.

for every inch of wheel width the section width will grow aprox .4 if an inch so your section width will be .8-1inch wider than what you have now.

So that might work with the same backspacing that I have now?

the sectional of a 29 x 10.5W on 12" rim is 14" i don't see it clearing with out doing frame work/tub work

I was going to use the 10.5 not the10.5w I might move some frame.

You don't need to massage the frame at all on the 70-72, I have a mini tub and lip work with a 10 inch rim, 29.5X10.5W they are a great slick. I run them with 10.25-10.50psi and on a hot track surface I give them a dusting in the box and they stick great. Chris
