I live in northern california and unlike most of the car guys around me, I chose a 72 Buick Skylark for my hot rod. She's a clean White with black interior, 455, th350, 12 bolt chevy rear end, NOS. I still run the buick ralleye wheels because I like the nostalgic look. She runs a quick quarter mile so watch out chevy guys! :blast:

You've come to the right place, and there aren't many chevy people around here :Brow: . Of course, you have more competition on this board because all of the 'real' fast cars (buicks) gather here to b.s. If ya have any questions feel free to ask.

Hey guys I hope you don't mind me being over here. I've got an Olds but the way I look at it engines are engines....and we are part of one big BOP family. I kinda stumbled on this site by accident and must say you guys have one slick site. I know a couple of the guys here from the Realoldspower.com site and they've had nothing but nice things to say. Plus snooping around here gives me a chance to size up the competition. :Brow:

I've always had a soft spot for Buicks :TU:

Very sharp Jetstar I !! My brother had one when we were in high school..... for such a large car I could not beleive how fast it was! I think he had the 425 in his, and it was a medium blue color. You just don't see many of them around..... yours is the first one I have seen in years! Very nice!

Hey thanks for the complement, its taken me three long years to get the car to where its at right now. The car kinda fell into my lap three years ago and I must admit I wasn't so hot about it with its size and all. But after I took it out for a couple of trial runs :Brow: I was hooked.

I got the car with its current engine, Olds 455, and I have no clue where in its life the 425 was taken out. I drove it around for a while until some piston damage (don't ask thats a long story). I was just gonna replace the busted pieces untill I got the "might as well" disease. You know, since I'm doing this I gotta do that and since that part is changing I might as well do that....and on and on..... I think I'm done for the time being.

I've been getting a lot of flak from my buddies on why I'm building such a huge car. I had it scaled at the local weigh in and with me in it she tipped the scales at 4200lbs. Hmmmm, for the look of it I thought it would be WAY more. I took a couple of buddies for a cruise one night and showed them my new improvements. This is what I got :jd:

Hee hee, wait till they see what I'm doing this winter. :TU:
