Hi! My name is Megan and I live in Northeastern Ohio. I've grown up building hot rods and drag racing with my dad and my uncles. I like cars sooo much that after I went to college for journalism and public relations I went back to school to earn a degree in applied automotive engineering. No matter how much school I go to though I have realized there are many trade secrets they just don't teach you in school. I was lead to the V8 Buick board by many puzzled Buick parts dealers in reference to my latest project. I am in the process of putting a 401 Nailhead (my first Buick engine!) out of a '63 Riviera in my '48 GMC pick up (talk about a tight fit!). I have learned a lot so far but have a lot further to go. I plan to post in the general forum shortly with pics. Thanks for having me, hope to learn a lot and maybe even contribute some!
I thought about changing my name but everyone online knows me as ChevyGirlRox. I grew up building and racing small block Chevys, hence the name.
You have a fine screen name... mine is because I had a Pontiac many years ago, and they haven't kicked me out yet! Another great resource on your Nailhead, along with the sub-forum on this board, is the Yahoo Nailhead Group... it is very active. Welcome to our little spot on the internet!
I posted pics of my engine and its fit problems here: http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?p=902454#post902454 Don't know if it was the right forum, but there it is! Thanks for the help!
Welcome! If it's Buicks you need help with, you've come to the right board. I think your going to find a lot of Northeast Ohio Buick owners. Matt
Yeah, what Bruce said !!!! :TU: :laugh:I'm actually curious how it turns out.I always wanted to stuff a 455 into a late 40's or early 50's Chevy P/U. :Brow:
