I would like to say hello to all you buick heads . While I may be new to this forum I certainly run buick blood in the veins. I presently own a 69 GS400 convertable 4 speed car and an original 70 GSX .I have owned the 69 since my 17th birthday sometime around 1983:grin: .I have restored the car twice ..last time in 1993 thats also the last time I drove her.With the economy so dead ..ie" I have nothing better to do"..I have regained interest in her and plan to do a full resto.
GSXER, Had to reply to your message, hits close to home. I bought my 69 Stage 1 when I was 17. It was in the paper for 1k in 79. Manual 4 speed also and has not been on the road since 86. Carried it around from house to house but now it has a good home. It's all apart now and I'm going to take some pics soon I just want to clean all the dust off of it first! I even have a barn GSX story, found one complete with the Stage 1 motor (blown) and 4 speed tran. The owner wanted 3k and I didn't have it or a place to keep it. Told two people in a neighboring town about it that co-owned a bench seat GSX. All I said about its location was that it was west of me and they still found it. The guy I talked to wasn't the owner his dad was. So it was bought for 1500.00. I cried. This is the short version but on the persons wedding day the best man (other co-owner of the first GSX) presented the groom with the GSX emblem for the front grill that had been stolen.
