This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. Thank you! I don't have any on me. I'll give the car a solid wash soon and get more decent pictures taken with a real camera for you guys.

That has been possible for years. If you have the original sbb 300 is can be made into a 362 with a stroked to 3.990" sbb 350 crank with a set of nascar take out rods topped off with a set of TA rover heads. Not quite 383 cubes BUT it would be about 200 lbs lighter than a sbc with aluminum heads and intake.

You can easily get 370 cubes(with an aluminum intake around 120 lbs lighter than a sbc that has aluminum heads and intake) out of a sbb 350 with a .040" over bore and the above mentioned stroke. The factory heads flow around 200 untouched, with a little bit of porting 40 more CFM isn't to hard to get, with more porting mid to high 260s are possible, good for over 500 streetable pump gas HP! The SP3 isn't an RPM air gap, but TA did a good job to make sure that intake would still make good low end torque while still letting the engine rev more than 6,000 RPM.

And actually the sbb 350/370 would cost around the same as building a sbc 383 would.

I don’t really have anywhere else to share this so here it is! Haha I just found a 1965 dealership matchbox in near mint condition. I love this kind of stuff and hope to collect more memorabilia from my model year. Thought you guys might appreciate it.

They did. The 94-96 Roadmaster had the LT-1...so technically it isn't blasphemous, haha!

In my old 1970 Skylark post, I had planned to do a full LSX restomod, but sold the car to a buddy who kept asking about it, when my ex-wife kept bitching about all the cars I had at the time. Sold them all, and she still wasn't happy. Next one was more accommodating! Got a nice GS that's nearing completion of a long refresh, and I can't wait to go cruise in it!

    Welcome!

    Thank you!
I'm referring to the new LT1 found in the C7 Corvette. I wish Buick would make a new V8 powered sports coupe!

Your GS sounds awesome! I'd like to see that!
