Hey all.. im new here =) I have a 79 Firebird with a Buick 455.. basically a stock rebuild, 75 smogger heads lightly ported and larger valves, SP1 Intake, 800cfm Qjet, Comp Cams cam.. and thats about it.. currently runs 13.5, but the carb was bogging the whole way down the track.. also had no suspension to speak of.. that will all be changed this year =)
I think the SP1 is a bit much for your combo? What's your name? You might be better off with a B4B intake, The SP1 is more of a all out intake for engines with big breathing, a lot of porting and headers.
My name is Andrew.. Yea I know the SP1 is a bit large, im hoping to have some headers soon, as well as new heads.. and with parts being hard to get cheep in Canada, I figured I would go with the SP1 and then slowly upgrade everything else to accomidate =) I'm hoping a tapered cab spacer will help compensate for the huge intake, but I'm not too sure i was only sixty footing at 2.0x last year, so all the suspension stuff im getting this year should help out alot
