I would like to share one members question that I recently received regarding the sets that I am making to fit the Aftermarket Dashboard Bezels from TPP. "I have a question about the fitment of the after market panel. I heard that you have made a change for the curvature of the steering column. Is that the only change? I found the section at the far left by the headlight switch is not molded correctly. The lower left hand corner of the border is not square. I don't remember the exact difference from one side to the other but it was obvious when placing the applique in that section. I spent a couple of hours measuring and sliding around until I finally figured it out. Please let me know. Thanks," Also, according to him, there have been big discussions over the years on the V8Buicks group surrounding this Bezel from TPP not being molded correctly in the lower left hand corner and that I should address this. Being a new member to V8Buick I wan't aware of these past discussions, but I am well aware that both bezels (OEM & Aftermarket) are not exactly the same size where the inserts go. My answers I responded with are "No, the curvature is not the only change I made" & "Each piece in the set has been custom sized to fit all the differences of the Aftermarket Dashboard Bezel from TPP". I'd like to conclude that I am aware of this corner issue and slight size difference between the two bezels. This is why I decided to offer the sets in two different sizes. And based on the feedback at the BG show in May, I can confidently say that people like the way the new inserts look and fit both of these bezels which were on display. Just bringing this back up. Mark's work is fantastic! I can only hope that folks who may be in need of new decals, or, "god forbid," have some of the horrible "reproductions" out there, might take notice...

It was a pleasure to talk to you in BG - You had a great display. Will you be there again in May? 1st, thank you so much for coming to the rescue w/an excellent product so that for those of us to whom it matters, we'll no longer have to fret over having the original look. 2nd, to make 2 different sets - One for orig. bezels & one for the (incorrect) repro bezel is really going above and beyond and is a testament to how particular you are and how comfortable anyone should be about buying these kits from you. 3rd, I know you had a conversation w/a board member regarding the correct (i.e. different) woodgrain for the console & was glad to hear (not surprisingly) that you were already onto that. Looking forward to seeing the console kit as well even though I don't have a car w/one. I'm sure it'll be beautiful & correct.

I'm pleased to announce that I'm introducing two very nice new reproduction products in addition to the dash wood grain decals that this thread was created for last year. I am showing these new decal products at the GS Nationals show this week in BG if anyone is interested in stopping by my booth. I would welcome the opportunity to show my new textured black dash decals as well as the wood grain decals for the floor shift consoles for our 1970-72 Buicks!
