Nice and I thought I had my mind made up, no more changes on my 53. Not so sure now.

Very nice Scott. What's the back spacing on them? Are they steel and heavy?

Yes, yes, please do tell more and share some more pictures. I will be purchasing new wheels in the next year or so and have been having a devil of a time picking out something that looks a bit classier than your typical wheel. If the pricing is reasonable these look like they might make the short list.

Those wheels are really nice! A little pricey at almost $2700 for a set of 5 but, really nice looking wheels.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

I for one want to see these on your car. They really look nice. I like that you can run the original center caps on them.

Thanks for all the good complements

Backspacing I ended up with was 6.5" on the rear 18 x 11 and 4.75" on the front 17 x 8. I did alot of measuring and ciphering. Suspension is all stock (rear is 12 bolt but measures same width as 10 mounting to mounting face) and I plan on near stock ride heigth. I removed both front and rear springs and mounted known quantity tires and wheels beforehand. Using a floor jack, I moved frt and rr suspensipon throught the full range of motion to check for worst case clearances.

With this new combo, for the rear, with the b/s above, I get 7/16 clearance to the outer lip (which was trimmed to the trim screw holes) worst case (suspension almost completely compressed) and about 9/16" clearance to the frame (fwd of the axle). Tire section width was 12.25".

For the front, with the susp on the bump stops, I get about 1/2" clearance to the top inner fender bolt, and about 1" to the inner fender worst case (close to curb heigth). Tire s/w is about 10.25"

They are billet aluminum, although not as light as I thought they would be. They are special order and take 4-6 weeks to get (through Newstalgia although Summit also carries them).

I believe the center caps to be Mitch R's (Cirlce provided them)

I am changing to 1/4" longer wheel studs and using 1/4" extended length shank bulge acorn nuts. The wheel mounting flange is thicker. You prob could get away by not replacing the studs but they are cheap and the procedure is easy so I'll just do it for safety.

Fronts are $519, tires are 245/50/17 altough i went conservative on the tire and prob could get away with 255/45/17 or maybe evn 265/45/17.

i got them through Newstalgia as they had a package sale going on tires and wheels so I saved alittle over the bare cost listed above
