Be sure to let me know when you'll arrive. I get over there now and then. Hey, nothing like cruising the junkyard on Saturday just for kicks, ya know, just to keep an eye out for "Stuff".

Dale in Billings, I missed this thread when it started, its good to see another Montana Buick nut!! That is a great looking 66, I had one with the same drive train including the dual 4's it is now in Omaha with another board member. Sometimes I miss that car. Next year I want to make some car shows down there in Billings, till I get the gears changed it is a trailer queen for the long hauls. If you could, would keep me posted on some dates.
Tim which route are you taking to Hardin? Depending on your route you can come right through Malta. A little coffee and Buicks would be a nice break.
And again  welcome to another Montanan to the board.
    Thanks Rick

Hey Rick! I'll E-Mail you with some dates as soon as I get a new listing for next years shows. We have several throughout the year and it would be great to have a few more Buicks showing here. I hear Malta has a pretty good show too. I have thought about driving up there for one sometime. My wife is from the Glasgow area so we get through there once in awhile. I'll be chatting with you.

I've been to alot of car shows in MT, and of all places saw more Buicks in CutBank last year than any other ever. Me, a 70 stage 1 4-speed, a 68 skylark, and a 56 with a 455 in it.

Not sure yet, doing the family convoy thing....I have to be back before some of the others so we have not set the route yet. Usually down through Milk River (more family), Shelby, Lavina...roads are pretty clear and certianly nice.

Adam I met the guy with the 70 Stage1 this summer in Great Falls at 2 different shows, nice car. He told me about the show at Cutbank sounded like a large time. I wanted to go but funds, time and an oil leak stopped us. Not sure which one happened first. Oh well theres always next year, should be somewhat recuporated from the restoration costs. Next year I'd like to get to Billings maybe on a race weekend. Will be in GreatFalls at least 2 or 3 times. One in Great Falls is an indoor one. Hopefully can get to Cutbank it sounds like a full weekend of stuff.
Tim sound like you'll be taking the highroad instead of the lowroad.
If any of you guys get through this neck of the woods holler.
    Thanks Rick

Nice cars Adam! If someone will let me know when the car show is in Cutbank, I'd love to get up there. I even have relation there so the wife won't mind either. I'll keep you guys posted on the shows here in Billings and also when there is a big race weekend. They have races every weekend but some are a little bigger than others. Can't wait to see your cars!

It was the weekend of 8/21 last year. It is at the airport in conjunction with an air show. They have 1/8 mile drags on one of the runways. It was a small-town blast!

    Adam--

Do you remember if the 68 Skylark owner was Loren Weikum from Brady?

I just got this out of long term storage today and washed it----December 19???---something crazy going on with this weather.

I can't remember the guy's name. I think he was from Kalispell. A red-headed guy that looked kind of like a grown-up Opie Taylor. He was a real nice guy. he was also racing a Hemi-Roadrunner race-car that he worked on for its owner. It had no interior, lexan windows, open headers, the whole nine yards. I only lost to him by a car-length with my Hoosier QT tires in the Skylark. Of course I had a small amount of help from the blue-bottle. :) Bigger jets installed and he would have been toast!

Is that the 67 you painted years ago? Looks good!

Painted in California. Stop over and take a peak if you're back in Helena. Sounds like you will beat that guy next year with your Skylark. The 68 looks just like Loren's car; I've got the road wheels from it on my 70 Stage 1.

    Dale,
Just saw your post but welcome from another '66 GS post coupe owner! Sounds like our cars are very similar except for color and transmission...

Hope you can post some additional pictures soon. Looking forward to seeing them.

Ken where is Alberta located? My geography skills of Canada really stink. I onlyl live about 45 miles from the border and have only been there maybe 6 times. There seems to be more Buicks than I thought around here, We have a show here sometime in June can't remember the exact date. They have been giving 200.00 to the car club with the most cars present. Theres a guy that has a bunch of Mopars that he brings from Great Falls and a bunch of his followers bring theres they end up having about 10 to 12 cars and they park all together. Man it would be way cool to put together a bunch of Buicks to show everybody what real muscle looks like. Its about a 200 mile drive for everbody thats here so far. Well better go shovel we got dumped on this morning, what a way to spend my week off, plumping and shoveling.
    Thanks Rick

Rick - Be sure and let me know when the date of the show. I'll try and make it and get some Buick guys from around here to take a road trip. Ken - I would love to see you and some Buick nuts there too. We could have a blast showing people the Fast With Class cars. I've been shoveling a little here too Rick and I haven't had much time to check the board but it tis the season. I'm ready for some nice weather and a little cruisin.
