on my way back from seattle wed afternoon took a detour and stopped at summit ( ohio ) for a break . on their clearance rack was a "new" timing cover . someone had returned it maybe . new price was $115 , sale price was $50 . gear area looked unmolested . good news - was made to use a standard seal instead of rope . bad news - made in china ( i know - a shock ) and the front oil pan bolt threads on one side were " pulled " a little . aluminum was cracked very slightly - usable . they might not have notivced the threads and may even sell a little cheaper . fyi in case anyone is driving by . del
