Needed: Used ignition module for HEI 350

    Hey guys,

Ignition modules are pricey up here in Ontario, and I'd like to see first if anyone has a good used (or, perchance, new?) ignition module for an HEI Buick 350 distributor. Just to give you a reference, a new one is $57.19 + tax.

    Thanks!

Glen, I'd be happy to price one out and ship it up to you. Do you have a manufacture and/or part # you're looking for?

Rockauto.com has them ranging between $13 and $38 + shipping. (I plugged in '78 Buick Skylark w/350.) Do a search for "rockauto discount codes" to get another 5% off their prices before shipping.

Will they ship to Canada? Seems like a lot of vendors don't want to these days.

Just checked their FAQ section and yes they ship outside the US. I suppose duties and such will bring up the cost to some extent.

Part of the problem with a vendor shipping into Canada, is that they tend to use only UPS or Fedex. Those carriers are well known for charging very high fees upon delivery to the Canadian buyer. Parcel Post shipments for low value parts is the only way to go, but a lot of companies won't do that.

    David,

The part # I have is for ACDelco #D1906.

I appreciate you looking into this for me. However, if the shipping and duties (plus $ exchange) will bring it to an equivalent price... well, you get the picture.

Thanks, David, and Joe as well! :TU:

Glen, I can get a new D1906 for $33 + shipping to you. I think I could put it in the mail for $10. I'm looking for cross-reference options that might be cheaper. How fast are you looking to get one?

NAPA also lists a module for about $25 that cross references to the D1906. I can pick one up and ship Monday if interested. Let me know.

I have a couple known good AC Delco modules. Be happy to send one to you if you pay postage.
