I need a new pinion yoke for my 71 8.5 skylark rear. I don't really have an easy way to take mine off because of where it is parked and the fact that it doesn't move on it's own..

The guy at the driveline shop is not sure which one it is on my car..

He wants to know the spline count. ID, OD,and the depth of the splines???

Maybe someone here can just sell me one???

    MONZAZ??

    Hmmm.. OK.. Now i'm confused..

JD Race lists the pinion diameter as 1.625

Driveshaft Specialists list the spline diameter as 1.312 for all the GM 8.5 10 bolt rears

Wouldn't that be the same measurement??

I believe the pinion diameter would be the thickest point of the pinion shaft, not near the splines. I believe the 8.5 10 bolt and the 12 bolt both have the same pinion shaft diameter, 1.625.
