Well, I have good news and not so good news First, many thanks to J.R. Wills for sending me a CORRECT 7041544 carb, which I'm trying to install as we speak. I will send it to J.O. if it needs it, but I want to try it out first. Herein lies the problem: the OEM fuel filter housing/ reducing bushing from the 80 carb is a little bit bigger than the 71 one was. Can I buy this part somewhere? Or if not, and I suspect not, does anyone have one lying around to spare? Here is a pic of the problem: It just won't fit! Thanks in advance again, Frank
Frank, as I said when I called you, I found 1 smaller than the ones on the 455 Carbs I have, and will send it out in the AM. Others I have are all larger than the 1 I'm sending. JR
