The annoying creaking noise from my hood has been found. The rubber coating on my rear (cowl) hood bumpers is worn through, and creaking on the under side of my hood. I think Cars sells them, but the shipping is 3 times the cost of the parts! Anyone have a set?
Joe, I am not sure we are talking about the same things. You say they are off a trunk? These are the bumpers that look like a bolt that threads into the cowl near the windshield. They do not have think rubber though like the front core support hood bumpers.
Derek, Go to Home Depot and buy the vinyl dip in a can. Dip the bolt head a couple of times and you are all set.
