ID of 400 Easy enough to ID. The nailheads among other things were mostly blue/green in color, the 400's were red. The casting number on your manifold will tell as well as the block casting #. Post either and we'll identify for you. You bought it new in 67 & Starwars aircleaner = 400. The valve covers on a nailhead sit on a horizontal plane, as though you took them off and laid them on a table. The 67 400 valve covers sit at about a 45 degree angle, like most V8s. Rich
Nailhead valve covers have 2 bolts in the middle of the valve cover that hold them down. a 400 will have 5 boltsd on each valve cover. 2 on the top or intake side and 2 on the bottom or exhaust manifold side. also a nailhead has a distributor in the rear and a 400 has the distributor in the front.
