I need just the oil dip stick for a 1971 Buick GS 350. I have the tube it goes in but while the motor was out, I have seemed to misplace it. :Dou: If anyone has one for cheap or even better free, I will pay shipping, it would help me out alot. Thanks!! Jim

I think someone on the board should know? Part# is on the stick. I only have B.B. cars now so I don't know the #'s. and I have some unknown sticks.

I've been looking for the same 71 350 dipstick for a while now with no luck finally just bought a Mr Gasket chrome dipstick for a (don't believe I'm admitting to this) a small block chevy ($8) and shortened it a little. Just drain your oil and change you're filter fill up with 5 qts of oil start it turn it off and make your own marks on the stick. I would of thought someone made a nice one or even a reproduction for a buick smallblock but I can't find it so I gave up

Just dumb questions, but I must ask... Are skylark and GS350 dipsticks and tubes different? could you use the tube and stick from other years as a set? I noticed that they are totally different from 71 to 72, different length tubes and sticks, but these are regular skylarks, not GS. It is usually a PITA to get the tube out of the block, 71 seems to hace "extension" that goes into lower tube, and, obviously, a longer stick. there are plenty of Buick 350 cars in my neck of the woods, just almost no GS's. Help if I can, though. Also, can't help you out if you don't have a location... could be my neighbor but don't have any idea where you are.

Tube and stick from any year 350 should work fine. No difference between GS, Skylark, or any other model. I have 3 350's in my garage now ('70, '71 and '72) and they're all the same.
