In the process of restoring my GS 455 and I noticed after the new wiring was installed that the speed selector switch for the fan speed only works on high. It was probably this way before the restoration. Just never checked it. Would this problem lie in the switch itself or in some other location. The blower resistor is brand new. Also if the problem IS in the selector switch what would be my options for repair. Does someone reproduce this or do I have to try and find a good used one? Thanks for the help as always.
There is a blower motor high speed relay on the firewall. Looks like this, https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=818025&cc=1379763&jsn=411 Check the connections there as well as the blower resistor connections, and at the switch itself. AFAIK, the fan switch is not reproduced, so you will need to find a used one if that turns out to be the problem.
