I have a 64 convertible that I ordered new interior from Legendary. It is white. Does the white have any accent color in between the stainless on the door panels? They say only black and red had colors. Red had white and black had grey. Is this picture of the white door panel correct? Thanks
My current blue interior panels have light blue accents (both original and repro). Trying to think of my 64 from 18-years(!) ago with white interior and I am 90% sure that the black accent is correct with the white vinyl. Funny, I remember the carpet on the bottom having a brownish coloration. Probably had the windows left down in the rain a few times over the years or something. Post a few more pics of your car. The blue & white bring back memories of my first 64, though not a convertible. My current 64 is blue/blue interior.
Adam I wish this was my car The door panels I rec'd from Legendary have the centers white. Here are a few more pics of a car I found on the internet years ago.
Ed, I can confirm the Black with grey accent color from the pair in my basement. My 64 vert has tan/bronze door panels with white accent color, and also has tan carpet. This is a Canadian built car though, which could make a difference. I have another set of 64 door panels at my brothers place which are light/medium blue, but I can't remember what color trim they have. I'll be picking them up in a day or two, if you need the trim color.
Both of my 64 post cars ( special and special deluxe ) have exactly the same interior color and trim level notice the differance in the cars Ken
My blue panels are identical to Ken's blue ones. Note the divider strip is light blue, in case the color is hard to make out. The OPGI repro's (probably Legendary as you pointed out to me) got it right, as the dividers are light blue in the repro's too.
Ken, your gold 64 has the exact same door panels as my convert, but I couldn't find any pics. Was this car repainted at one time? Exterior color looks identical to mine, which is "Bronze Mist" according to what I've unearthed.
Thanks Ken,Tom, and Adam Do you guys know for a fact that the white interior had the black accent (like the pic) or should it be white. The white ones they sent to me do not have any accent color. o No: Thanks :TU:
My white car has a black interior, with grey stripe and with burnt brown lower. My blue car is the same as, D-Con's blue with light blue stripes and blue lower.
Ed, the best I can give you is 90% sure the divider was black. It was 18 years ago, but I am still pretty confident. I'm sorry I can't do better. The car is long-gone and I even went through pictures last night hoping to find something. No-dice.
Ed, did you get your dorr panel issue worked out? I finally got to compare my panels with the originals and the carpet color is wrong. The carpet was too light a shade of blue! OPG wanted me to send them back and go from there. I then went directly to Legendary and will hopefully have them send enough carpet so I can match the kick-panels to the carpet on the repro door panels. At least OPG was willing to take them back, but it would be at least $50 in shipping I am sure. So far, almost nothing I have bought from those guys was the correct match for the original. I was afraid to play the door-panel game with thembased on that experience. hopefully Legendary will send me the ~1 yard of carpet I need to match the door panels.
Kinda of Hi Adam They sent a call tag and had them picked up and redid them with the correct black strip. I just got them yesterday and opened the box to check them out. The backs panels are perfect but I think they messed up on the front and I hope you can help me out. The panels have the heat lines that run up and down the door panel but with the middle one they ran the heat line across the black accent strip and stopped it at the carpet? It your panel like that? I think it is wrong and wanted to check before I made a call. Do you know exacting what I am trying to describe?
heat sink line is a gooooooood! Ed: The heat line does run through that accent stripe. I ran down to the shop and looked at my 64 Sky. conv. with original panels. So it looks like you're good to go. By the way, how is the quality of your panels? Did you get rear qtr. panels and seat material also. Needing to do the same for my 64, 41+ years is showing its age. Thanks :TU:
Ha, looks like Dave was able to look at his car faster than I was able to reduce the photo size and upload. Now that I think about it, what are you doing for the kick-panels/ panel carpeting?
Guys I bought it all the vinyl for the metal armrest and cylinder covers the rear seat back cover, front and rear seat covers, front and rear door panels and the top boot. I had to send the boot back because they sewed a wrinkle in the corners and the padding under the boot was coming off. They install the clips on the boot for you. They look great I will post a picture later. Now I need to find the velco plastic part that slides in the back seat. ou:
