My ‘70 GS 455 Stage 1 needs a harmonic balancer. I’ve found numerous ones in varying price ranges. Not sure I need the big bucks one from TA Performance. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have your original? If so you can send it to Damper dudes for a rebuild. They do good work.

TA's are built to the factory spec's and assembled the same. Damper dudes basically glues them together, and does not test them for the correct Harmonic frequency. I would use them as a last result. The others that are out there also will start to fray the rubber. TA's also go through a bonding process that not even the factory ones did. We are able to put them through a process to get the rubber to bond to the hub and ring which makes it even more reliable. Not trying to toot our own horn, but ours are the best factory stock type out there.

The budget Romac from TA is a good buy. Has all the timing marks, only requires a longer bolt which they have for 10 bucks
