need for 70-72 console restoration

I NEED A 70-72 AUTO floor SHIFTER... COMPLETE, ANY restorable condition. Now I have several peeps IN LINE for my gorgeous restored auto consoles and I have 3 -3/4 consoles and just 1 shifter... ou: HOW does that happen? how do you end up with more consoles than shifters??? o No:
Oh well...tell me what you've got, how much including shiping to 33776 and attach pix please...

AND I have sent out 3 center console plates for restoration to 3 different vendors...... we'll see how well that research goes when they are back in my hands in a few weeks... ray:

I think I have a spare horseshoe shifter. Let me look in my parts piles tonight and Ill get back to you. Got a part number or illustration?.

ThanX Fred, ya. I saw that post a while back... Ya see, I still have to put in a lotta time and effort to restore a shifter the way it needs to be done correctly... So I am really hoping to locate a shifter a little less expensive... :Smarty:

I have 2 consoles.they are not the same.how to tell difference between 70-72 and73 on up. I used studs from ace hardware for 72 gs grill. worked perfectly. I a going to ace today and will pick up a few in case anyone need some. Ken

Ken..70-72 consoles are not as tall as 73 up and the shifters will only work on matching year consoles too... How about sending me a few pix.....I can help you identify what you've got: PenWheelz2@ij.net

James... I sent you a reply... Yes I can restore your console as long as you are not in a hurry. But first, I need to purchase another shifter to have enuf parts to restore 3 70-72 consoles, yours plus 2 others...

Have a console and a shifter, shifter mounting is a little banged up, for sale. would like some new felts as well, pm me

 

This post is a little old but I am looking for the shifter felts. I sent the chrome top to be redone asked to save the shifter felts and they lost them. Any help is appreciated.

 

I have 15 of the chrome centers to be plated not all have the fuzzies!! need to make your own from plastic L stock. use .75" black self stick Velcroe. very slow process. keep in touch with your progress. kenny462

 

The chrome shop found the felts. The felts need to be replaced. I will look into the Velcro.
