I enjoy being fair., that's all.

Yep, pet peeve is when someone tries to unload a non-Stage 1 as a Stage 1, that's all; Skylark or GS with Stage 1 badges, Stage 1 emission stickers, etc.

Most sell through auctions (that don't care) & through dealers who gin up the price mentioning the Stage 1 information, instead of disclaiming the Stage 1 information.

Born on believer or not, there were only about 4,394 Stage 1's built (not including GSX or ragtops), yet there are about 10,000 Stage 1's for sale.

Same as I feel if you don't have a minimum of 500HP, take off your Stage 2 badges.

I agree, I can be abrasive and incendiary...

Your not going to make many friends on here by being that way.

Like I said, it is a pet peeve that I won't back down from and just don't understand why others allow it.

Often times I'm asking for the expertise of the others here, because Buick had zero insight in '70 & '71 when it came to VIN's.

I own a frankensteined GS and ask lots of question about how to keep it up and I'm thankful to be part of a knowledgeable group, but if you want to ban me for my opinions, then just have a vote and get it over with...

No one is allowing anything. People are free to sell a car however they want. Deceptive selling practices are nothing new. You take what the seller says with a grain of salt. Its essentially meaningless. The car will either stand or fall on its own merits despite what the seller says or doesn't say about it.

That's fairly naive. You think everybody has your level of experience/knowledge?

When given the chance, wouldn't you help someone when being sold a fugazi?

Or would you rather just stand there and watch with the mob...and when it's over you just comment, they should have known better...

Well I would consider you nothing but a waste of time.... You claim to be a expert. You bought a ready made car.... I don't see any history in the short time that you have been here twisting a wrench. For all I know is you just got out of prison and joined a buick forum....

Yea, that was a mistake and I corrected that; but that is okay because the mob doesn't believe in that...

Never claimed to be an expert and a 50 year old, non-restored, ready made car needs repair & PM once in a while, but that's okay as you perpetuate the mob mentality...as it is increasing here...again...

What I'm saying is, it doesn't matter what the buyer says or what he thinks. It's white noise to me.

I help people out all the time if they ask me to check out a car. Just checked out a 65 GS for @BuickGSrules . I'm available to any of my Buick brotheren to check a car out. If it's local, you owe me a beer. If it's not, just pay for my airfare and expenses.

Never buy a car sight unseen and never take a sellers word. Check the car out yourself. Remember, with anything...you hsve to be the expert. And if your not, hire an expert. It's that simple. I've been doing this non stop for close to 40 years. I've owned every kind of GS you can think of. And they've been cloning GS's since the 80s. This is nothing new.

I actually broke my own rule and bought the GSX sight unseen:D

But it was @Mike Sobotka so....

So, you wait to be hired by a potential buyer...

And I voluntarily ask the seller direct questions, so ALL can see the questions and the answers...

I don't see how this helps anyone not interested in buying said vehicle.

Maybe you should charge a fee for this "service" you're providing or maybe just scroll past an ad that you have zero interest in.

You'd probably be less likely to get banned from pages you could potentially glean good info from.

The only people reading my questions are the seller, potential buyers, onlookers and the auction shills.

I ask questions usually in the auctions I would like to bid in.

All I asked was why are they advertising Stage 1 badges in the description and showing pics of Stage 1 badges & Stage 1 emissions stickers on the radiator hold down. But no mention of, oh by the way, this isn't a Stage 1.

I just wanted to clear the air; which they didn't in the description or pics - just a few comments by shills of maybe this isn't a Stage 1 afterall...
