That's right - previous owner of my 65 Skylark GS replaced the 401 with a L98 out of a 92 'Vette, and in the process used the space normally reserved for things like heater ducts, etc (anything that fit under the dash) for all of the wiring harness associated with the L98. i.e., he "built" the car without a heater. I'm in the process of a partial restoration, which will include putting the original 401 back in, along with a heater and all of the necessary components (ducts, core, fan/blower, etc).
