If someone has a clean coolant tank w/ the bracket, screws and hose please let me know! I'll consider buying a new after-market tank if I can get the other stuff needed to hook it up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~Bob 215-990-3030 Philadelphia, Pa. 19115 area.ray:
Should you go with a repro have a look at Frank McIntyre's tanks. I have one in my own car & can verify it's an excellent piece. My '71 secures to the inner fender with sheet metal screws only. '70 has a bracket?
At one time I think CARS sold the ribbed hose. Clamps are sold everywhere including in the HELP section of Auto zone. Frank on this Board remade the tank. Be sure to get the early or late year top as needed. No bracket is used for a coolant tank just some special screws. If you mean the bracket that holds the overflow hose to the radiator, I think the Parts Place may have remade this piece or was considering it. I believe this may be the piece: CS5470S (1968 - 1981 Skylark/GS ) OVERFLOW HOSE CLIP - THIS IS THE CLIP THAT MOUNTS ON THE SIDE OF THE RADIATOR, AND THE HOSE CLIPS INTO IT AND KEEPS THE HOSE UP AGAINST THE RADIATOR. A FINISHING TOUCH FOR NICE FINAL DETAIL. FITS ALL GM CARS WITH OVERFLOW HOSE. $10.00
Ill have to get with Steve Caruso to see if he will repo the over flow tube. It is a specific part with a bell shape at the bottom. I have one that can be used for a pattern.
