I have a friend with an '04 Sebring with a 2.7 V6 that has a top end clatter that comes and goes. It sounds like lifter noise and is a single tap. Meaning it is one lifter or rocker making the noise. The oil pressure is good and is fresh. It is strange that it comes and goes. Could it be carbon buildup in a cylinder? Any Chrysler techs out there that can give some pointers? The car has 50k on it.
