Can you recognize these Buicks? Saw them at Pebble Beach today.

OK let's see, from the left rear moving to the right front nearest to the viewer.

    Buick's Concept Cars

    1. The 1938 "Y-Job"
    2. The 1951 XP-300
    3. The 1951 LeSabre
    4. The 1954 Wildcat ll
    5. The 1956 Centurion

Now what do I win... I'll settle for a ride in the '54 Wildcat ll:Brow:

PS I cheated, I saw them all just last month at Flint:bglasses:

You are right on Rick!! You must like the old "stuff" too Two years ago, when they were preparing the concept cars for the 2003 tour, I was asked to help get the Wildcat 2 running. It has a nailhead with four sidedraft carbs ,and they were out of sync. I readjusted the carbs ,and as a bonus was allowed to drive it back into the basement of the Sloan Museum. That and the chance to take the 1910 "bug" down the track at Milan are two of the best rides in my life!

In May of '02 they had the Wildcat II and the 56 Centurion at the Peterson automotive museum in Los Angeles. The So Cal GS club was able to have a tour of the museum with the added bonus of meeting Charles Jordan, the designer of the 56 Centurion. He brought his original concept drawings of the car as well as told us the whole story behind it. When he was finished, they stopped the turntable and let us get up close to the car, including opening the doors, hood, and letting us sit in it. It was a real treat. The Cenutrion also has a nailhead with 4 sidedraft carbs. It wasn't running though, no spark plug wires...

The attached picture is of Charles Jordan sitting in the car that day. How cool is that.

God- they're all so beautiful. Look at the '56 from the front: GR-RRR!!

Does the LeSabre actually have any "Buick" ID on it? I think it has the familiar red, white & blue ring, but I didn't think it said BUICK or had the Buick shield anywhere on it. I've always been of the impression it's technically a General Motors concept- not a Buick- it just gets to travel with the others because it's a "LeSabre". Anyone know?

Just found a few photos myself. This car has a different colour, so there are a few of these cars around?
