Thanks for the offer Steve! I'll shoot you a PM.

Tom, there was really no interest? That's a little dissapointing to hear. I'd jump on board if someone started offering rear end components for the 9 3/8.

Wow I Didnt Realize That Craigers Dont Fit Over Our Brake Drums.

I Might Have To Consider 16 Or 17 Inch Rims Or Do The Machining Like You Did.

Good To Know B4 I Buy Em

You can go with 15in rims but you need to keep backspacing to less than 3.25in otherwise it will interfere. However, that significantly limits the rim width.

I'm going to run a 17x8 with 4.5in backspacing on the rear, and 17x7 with 4.25in backspacing on the front.

Well, I probably wont be buying them for two to three month but I'll post pics as soon as they're mounted.

I plan on going with American Racing Torqlite's. I like them because they kinda have that old school 5 spoke look, but also appear modern. They are like an updated version of the Weld Pro-Star.

I was going to go with Coy C-5's but I don't really like the lipless design. It just sorta rubbed me the wrong way.

wow, 3:90's and 4:45's! SUWEET! Would be cool to run the 3:90's with the 700R4.... I can't wait to put in the 4 speed auto in my wyldkat. What do you think about the tailights? I am waiting for the original Electra tailights, and couldn't wait to drive her, so I took a set of LeSabre tailights and used red lens's all across with no reverse light. I think these look quite cool... Better than the original white lens and red lens.... I am always trying to do things different....

Steve, your Wildcat looks awesome :TU: ! I love what you did what the tail lights.

Is that a factory radio delete plate?

Also, what radiator are you running? It looks like similar to the aluminum one that I'm putting in my '62.

That is the original radio delete. I got it off ebay about 2 weeks ago for 10 dollars plus shipping! cool huh? I never knew it existed until it was posted. As far as the radiator, it is a ford/chrysler one. Manufactured by BE COOL company. I had to use a ford chrysler one since buick is opposite of regular gm. It ran me roughly $200. There is a sweet cooling fan motor switch assy, it has a relay, fuses, and it set-up to run w/a/c or dual fans. The cores of the radiator are 1" and there are 2 rows. Pretty much a 4 core aluminum. I didnt want to paint it since it looks really cool. Plus, once I paint it, it will be painted forever. The only difference in this radiator and the stock one is 3" in height, and no trans cooler lines. I installed a hayden cooler and I flipped the brackets on the original radiator holddown and it worked perfect. Couldnt tell the radiator wasnt supposed to be there huh? Thanks for the compliments on the buick. I still need to remove the seats and door panels to adjust the window glass. I installed factory power windows from a donor and they are really close to perfect, but not yet.

Cool, that's basically the same radiator I'm running and that's exactly how I was going to mount it  !

What are you running for radiator hoses? Did the original ones work or did you have to use something else?

The lower hose was shortened just a smidge, the upper is the same, but removed a small portion of it in the middle (needed it lengthened) then inserted a 2" exhaust tubing section in between the 2 pieces. This way the fan sensor was mountable right in the pipe piece. Runs super cool and was really inexpensice. (about $300 for all)

I own an exhaust and auto repair shop, so I get things at cost, plus i have alot of tubing laying around too.

Ya, I noticed the top hose when I looked at the pics again. Looks like a real nice setup.

Any ideas on how cool it actually runs? With my old radiator and a clutchless mechanical fan it always ran around 212*. I'm hoping and am confient that with my new setup it should be around 180-190*.

Well, I haven't noticed any overheating... I don't have a guage since i didn't want to put something in the car that wasn't factory equipt. i guess i can get my heat laser gun on the radiator???

Don't worry about it, I was just curious if you had a specific idea of what it ran.

Another way to tell if the removable carrier has a posi is, of course the tag, but also the fill plug. The posi has a 3/4" square plug with extremely fine threads. Whereas the open, non-posi, has a pipe style plug that uses a 3/8" square like the end of a 3/8" drive extension. Or so that I've seen.
