My SP1 for your B4B, even swap!

    I have a recently glass-beaded, gasket matched Single Plane TA SP1 with both carb patterns and an open plenum.

    Looking to trade for a dual plane, Edelbrock B4B. New or Used.

    Ship to 19373. I can take specific pictures if needed. You pay your shipping, I'll pay mine.

    Ed, I don't have a B4B intake, but I'm just curious why you are trading your SP1 intake for a B4B? I plan on rebuilding a 455 motor soon and I cannot decide between these two intakes. Let me know why you want a B4B intake. Thanks.

    I ran the SP1 with a big carb, a TA413 cam and fully ported heads on my balanced & blueprinted 464. It spun a rod and wasted the block & cam.

    I've since picked up a stock, smog 455 with low miles. I don't want to leave the cast manifold on it, and the single plane would just be wrong for the stock cam & 800cfm quadrajet I'm running.

    Thought I'd make the intakes an even swap since I don't see ANYTIME in the future dropping the kind of money I spent on the first motor, again. So until then, a stock motor will do.

    Theres nothing wrong with SP1 but you cant use GS aircleaner

    If your deal with Mike doesn't go thru I think I've got a B4B but I think it had been port matched. I'll check on it tomorrow and let you know.

    Yes this is a early version. It fits under my 66 hood.

    Mike-- sorry about that. I thought I PM'd you. I know I sent out a few PM's regarding the SP1 trade :Dou:

    The story is that I have to hold off, as the machine shop that built the motor for me may settle after all the lawyers went at it. They may want everything back, and if so I'm gonna need to hand over everything for a reimbursement. (I'm assuming you all know the story from August)
