Dude they look sweet!! Are you racing HO or just 1/24? I just finished my attic to put up 2 tracks on either side approximatly 20 ft long by 3 1/2 wide. We always had more fun with HO. Especially t-jets hopped up. All driving with those.
joe65skylarkgs:just 1/24 Rustyoldbuick:its a resin 92 buick roadmaster wagon model, it the 88 regal and 75 skyhawk was pretty expensive. and one the most expensie is a resin 95 riviera model thati have.
Those rock! How about some details. Like, what are the chassis and motors like? And are you currently racing somewhere? Again, those Rock!!!
Wolf nice job! I remember back in the day spending hours and hours racing these things on a track we made in the basement. Kept a lot of us out of trouble in our early teenage years. Mike D.
Floydsbuick: yes i race every saturday. 70 gsx prostreet:was set up for pro mod, then i took the wing off adn repainted it to run in a class we called outlaw street stock. we ran these new sealed group 20 with .500 wide tires, i choose it because all fit in and still run a sidewinder set up. it didnt work to well but ocasionally saw late .8s on a 1000 ft track. ive been trying to get it to run with .300 tire but blew the pinion,i have to resoder before i try it again. 75 skyhawk prostock:really it was a quick replacement for the 88 regal, nothing fancy just a 16d on an inline edge chassis with a set of pro track wire wheels.it runs in the .9s regularary. "heavy metal" 69 riviera:used to run .850s with a single mag group 20,took the group 20 for a another couple of cars. it runs on a ferrets inline wire chassis. "sexyfur" pro mod 88 regal: my current pro mod,its best run was .756 on a 1/4 mile when it had a ball bearing group 20,after the switch to bearing group 12 its best is .8s on a 1000ft track. the chassis is a sidewinder wire chassis with ball bearings. tameless 87 regal: ole reliable,i run er every week, way back when after i destroyed a pro truck, I salvaged the chassis and put it under a regal. the first incarnation was a cut down regal pro mod. it rans 9s on a ball bearing 20 after which i tried it for ssd hardbody but id didnt do to well. finaly i settle on a parma deathstar and shes been running 12s/10s ever since. the only other thing is it has bearings in the axles on a sidewinder wire chassis. 92 buick roadmaster pro stock:i really need to finish this, i had it done before but decided to redo it. its big heavy and slow, especially since i have .700 wide tires under it. i also took model wheels and tires and mix them with slot car wheels and tire to make it look more real.its a wrp inline chassis with a super16d. regal car hauler:my greatest creation,it started when we had a carhauler class,it had a lexan 91 chevy car hauler body. it had an super16d and it ran a fluke pass of 1.040 on a full scale 1/4. for a long time it was ole reliable, and it won me a lot of races and money. as time went by i change the body a time or two, then after a experimenting with a spare regal i did it for real. this one im really proud of,i cut the body right at the trunk, filled the rear and what was left of the wheel wells. i had a friend make the bed and recently i cleaned it up and repainted it. it has a ferrets wire chassis and recently running with a group 20 from heavy metal for 1.000s in a 1000 ft track. that is until i took it for one more project. 70 gsconvt:ill take my camera when i go this saturday. Howrad: i have many more slot cars including a 32 ford with a blue flame 6,a 55 street machine, a 69 el camino and also pulling trucks(were working on getting a tractor pull class going) what do you want to see :Brow:
