My new vehicle 28" wheels

    What does it say on that little plate on the frame, under the headlight ?

    Believe it or not:
    From 1921 to 1941 you had to pay road tax for bicycles in the Netherlands.
    They used plates like the one on your bicycle to show that you paid your tax.

    Unemployed people got a tax plate for free, but with a hole stanced in it.
    (so everybody could see that you were unemployed....)

    Difficult to find new tires. Front was 28". Rear was 28" plus. Have to buy used one in crome. Goran :)

    The Broom story. :laugh:
    Took the Wheels to Town there is the Man worked with bicycles manny manny years. He told me to take a walk for 10-15 minutes, and he will fix it, no problem.
    He hade newer seen this size. Most be imported he sad. 29" will be to close to the fender.
    There is different size of 28" he sad. Thanks Goran :)

    I ask him if he hade a wheel for me, he hade.
    He walked around the wall to mount the tire.
    Next i heard was a BIG BANG i almost jumped out of my boots.
    He told me it was the second he blow up over the years, 30 years since last one. Goran :Comp:
