Just received my new drop out carrier back from Brad @ Fabcraft :TU: they rebuilt the entire carrier with all new spider, side gears, clutch pack, domed bushings, races, bolts, springs and holders for springs, cleaned ready for install. Looks brand new. Cost around $600.00 completed like in pictures.
He had made new gears for this unit and will be able to make more as needed.
Therefore, if anyone had the problems I had, he is the guy to talk to for new gears.

Has anyone ever set a carrier like this one? do you need to set the axle in carrier before final assembly?

I read it in my manual that there is a tool that looks like
short axle shafts with t-handles. Can this be done without the tool?
Can I use my axle instead to center carrier unit, kind of awkward to use them but what other choice would I have to center it with.
Any input Would be appreciated. Thanks much Mark
