My Dodge heater motor quit:ball: I checked the fuse, its good. Anyone no where these $^*#@box K car heater motors are?
dynasty heater motor dan, if i recall the blower motor is located under the passenger side dashboard. if you have a test light check for power at the wiring harness that plugs into the motor. if you have no power then locate the blower relay. the relay location can change from year to year. what year is your dynasty?
It a 1988. Any idea what this relay looks like? Of course Dodge couldn't put the darn heater motor were it belongs like on a GM. In all fairness though, its been a good car.
Sort of. Its the more reliable three speed unit! However, I got the car for free two years ago cause the final-drive bearings and seal disintegrated. I rebuilt the final-drive with a new tailshaft, bearings and races. Problem is that all that ground up bearing ran through the trans. I replaced the governer and valve body recently, but lately its been refusing to put itself back in first at a stop. Gotta do it manually. Can't seem to kill it though.
LoL...they tuff cars, just the trans suck..I've been working at a Honda, Isuzu, Chrysler dealership since 91 and man have I seen the Chryslers come in with the trans blowed out.....You know if you build a trans with a (limp mode) then theres troubles! uzzled:
dynasty blower motor dan, check your fuse block. when you take the cover off the relays should be marked on the inside of the cover. your owners manual will tell you the location of the fuse block and relays.
John, Thanks, I'll check that. James, Since me and the better half will be minivan shopping sometime in the next year or two, what years did the fwd tranny get better?
Did it get better?....really, I know of 2001's coming in with the trans gone....don't know much about the GM's but stay away from mini vans made by Chrysler (Dodge too), and Ford....Toyota or Honda would be best....there was something about Toyota engine sludge troubles and some Hondas had trans troubles..very few, but the ones that did they extended the warenty on those...
