ok so my riviera got hit and it its in the shop so I was driving my dads 1979 Ford F250 with a 351M or somthing like taht, it is old and burns alot of oil, so I pulled up to an intersection, this newer honda accord that has a body kit and all that jazz with a young buck in it pulls up next to me in the fast lane. (my truck is all rusty and what not) so he doens't even think twice to pull up there, so I put one foot on teh break the other hovering over the gas, the light turns green and you should have seen the look on his face when he saw how fast I reacted and the car started, He got pissed and I could here is weed wacker exhaust starting to get all high reved and what not, and so we are even most of the way and then in the next intersection I have to get in the turn lane, when he passes me he flipped me off while I was laughing, I am pretty sure he wanted to sell his car that he payed many times more for and get a sweet green truck after that, I don't know if you would consider that a kill but he was pissed! at that point I wished I had my rivi so I could annialahte him
That's funny. I would consider that a kill, the ricer probably about got killed of embarassment. :3gears:
One of the funny things i find about so called 'ricers' alot of the reasons they get stomped all the time is poor driving skills! like 'i don't know how to shift....' I own an accord for a driver no weed-eater exaust or what not and have owned 2 preludes (honda's actual SPORT car NOT a civic) I will never understand why people run mufflers on 4 bangers that make there car sound like a friggin kazoo! I also will never understand why people modify honda civics because they are slow and very underpowered, they don't handle worth a crap eaither they are made for grocery getters.. Preludes handle and have the most power of all honda cars (other than the s2000). My 84 came factory with a 3 valve 1.8 and dual sidedraft 3bbl carbs that was a screaming car considering the power/wieght ratio. I can't count the times i smoked highly modified civics on the strip and street. It was running low 9's in a 1/8th and that was pretty much stock. I love it when you see a guy in a civic that mommy and daddy bought with 2k$ plus in mod's out on the strip that takes 4 seconds to shift gears! haha I also love when a civic with a 'Kazoo' muffler pulls up along side me and i blow there doors off with my bone stock AUTOMATIC accord..Maybe the kazoo mufflers sound right on a Porshe or some other high-end 4 banger but certainly not on a civic.
about 150,000miles ago i would do that to 5.0 mustangs but id let tham take the green light nothing replaces displacement this old beast has over 300,000 on it and the motor has NEVER been gone into and still pulls my flat bed just fine 460 4 bbl C-6 but 5 MPG sucks and its not hard to find in a crowded parking lot :3gears: :3gears: :3gears: sr66 :TU:
Dude if you are only getting 5mpg with a 460 you must be running a holley or a motorcraft 4bbl! throw that piece of crap away get an economy tuned 750 edelbrock your mileage will increase BIG TIME! I went from 7/8 mpg on my 78 f250 to 14/15mpg with a mildly built 460 4.11 gears and 36" tires!
i got 8 mpg when i ran 36" on the back but it wobbles when i tow so i went to 245 10 ply 16" the thing is bout 10 years ago i ran the diff out of oil and welded the inner races to the tube had to swap the whole thing this one now came out of a 6 cly truck and ive neve got it stopped long enouph to swap the gears .. i got them there in the big drawer in my red tool box ( see pic) ps i got 10 with the old rear sr66 :TU: the black 1 (77) is a possible donar. i need to find out if a 77 f150 w/ factory 460 is rare .if not body transplant
