I know this is a Buick board, and i myself have three of which I draw a great deal of pleasure. I have been very busy this winter working on my latest project and it is a 57 Belair Sedan. I just finished removing the body from the frame, and installing a new trunk floor....along with widening the rear tubs 3". Here is a quick snapshot of what has been keeping me busy... John
Not sure I should say this on V8 but........ I do like the 55-6-7 Chevies. Had a 57 sedan delivery years ago, wish I still had it. Good looking car :TU:
preserve anot just the buick i keep the money to the buicks myself though :bglasses: good lookin car though  Greg :TU:
Very nice. I kinda like it as is - the way the back of the fins angle back without the tail lights. Are you going to stick with a dark color?
It looks like you're well on your way to another masterpiece :beer Is there a big bad big block planned for that? Blower? Tubbed 57's need a blower :Brow:
Thanks.....funny you should mention that. It's going to have a blown 502 chevrolet big block in it, 400TH with a gear vendor o.d., Air bag suspension....etc.. Hey, I LOVE driving my Stage1, and my 87 GN....but sometimes a street machine is fun too. I love all older cars. I have even been considering purchasing a 77 Lemans CanAm from a buddy of mine, he used to drive in highschool. Truzi, Look on my Picturetrail website and you will see the color. It's going to be Black Cherry Pearl, with probably brite white leather tuck and roll interior. The interior is still up in the air..... Thanks for the encouragement!!!! John
I thought I remembered seeing a blown motor on your picture site. I can't wait to see this one finished! :beer I've always wanted a Bright Yellow Blown 57 a la the movie Hollywood Knights. I loved that car.
Project "X" Project "X" is what popular hot rodding called that car. It was their test mule from about the mid-60's thru recent issues. That car is an icon. I know very few car guys that don't remember looking forward to the next issue of PHR to see what they were gonna do to her next. When I first started doing this car, I was going to do an "X" clone, but that has been waaaaaaaaay overdone. Now, I am just going to do my own blown big-block street warrior. :3gears:
Nice work. Love it when they're done right. That car has Barrett-Jackson potential the way you're doing it. :TU:
I only bought it to take the back axle off of it to put on my handmade trailer. It did sit in my yard for two years waiting for scrap metal to go up, but it don't count. I only put it on there to see if I got any comments. Yours was the first.
So did you get rid of it, or still mowing around it? (I grew up in Kentucky, we understand this stuff. :bglasses:
Hey John nice 57 :Brow: this is were the non/buick stuff is suppose to go :bglasses: what engine you going to run o No: uzzled:
This one here......... Crate 502, with an 871 Weinand blower, 2 demon 750's, Tremac 5spd/or a 400 TH with a gear vendor o.d.....
